ASPE Rising SP Educator Award

In 2013 a new award was developed in recognition of the Rising SP Educator. In order to be considered for this award, a candidate must have has less than 7 years in working with SP methoASPE_2014Bohnert_Jun21-22 0122dology , made significant contributions at the ASPE conference or an ASPE committee and is recognized as an up and coming leader in the profession.

Our emerging leader for 2014, Carrie Bohnert, has attended ASPE conferences since 2008 and presented many workshops and oral abstracts at each of these meetings. She has worked with the NBME in OSCE case writing and is an active member of the Association of American Medical Colleges and the American Society for Public Administration.

Her educational background includes an internship with the Samuel Fleisher Art Memorial at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Sociology, and a Masters of Public Administration with an emphasis in Non-Profit Management.

She is currently the Director of the Standardized Patient Program at the University of Louisville and has been involved in SP Education since 2007.

You may know her as the Chair of the Educational Content Committee or , if you were involved in any of the preconference workshops over the past several years, you would have met her at the Foundations of Methodology workshop.

The ASPE community wants to extend congratulations and  appreciation  to Carrie for all that she has done to move our organization forward.
