With the support of the Educational Resources Committee (ERC), Dawn Schocken and Steve Charles presented a very popular and interesting webinar entitled, “The Keys to Inter-rater Reliability” on January 9, 2014. The ERC was wonderful in setting up and facilitating this session and made the presentation simple and easy.
Special recognition should go out to Alba Woolard and Margaret Liu for making the webinar run smoothly without any hiccups along the way. One thing learned from this experience is the diversity and strength of the ASPE brand. We had a number of participants from a variety of areas of expertise participate in this webinar.
We tracked the following for this webinar:
- 92 members clicked the registration link
- 54 members signed into the webinar
- 45 members attended the full session
- 9 international institutions were represented from 4 countries
We noted that institutions consisted of community colleges, academic health centers, and hospital based simulation centers. We have created quite a buzz with this topic. We hope to follow up with additional hands on tools for our colleagues interested in this area. As presenters for this webinar, we felt honored to be able to contribute to this great organization, and provide a platform for our colleagues to begin sharing their experiences in this field.
